Day Three

It was my Freshman year in college at LBC and I was playing outside hitter on the volleyball team. Summer pre-season work-outs were very difficult, lots of running! My shins paid the price for all of the running. Eventually I was seeing the trainer daily, icing as frequently as possible and trying not to walk around after practices and just rest as much as possible. I was getting wrapped by the trainer every practice. Eventually, the pain became so severe I barely even wanted to walk.

At the time I was attending an evangelical church in Ephrata and they had a service that was coming up, dedicated to healing, prayer and freedom! I went-EXPECTANT! I believed God for a physical healing. I remember at one point the speaker said something like, "anyone who needs a healing, raise your hands to heaven and receive God's healing!" So I did, I prayed and trusted and I DID receive healing! Immediately I felt the pain removed and I walked around without even a twinge of remnant pain!

And...NOT ONE TIME since this healing have I ever had another shin splint in all my life... Not in all my half marathon training, running for fun, or anything.

God of miraculous healing! God of power! God of love! God of kindness!

Day Two

You'd never know it now, but these two fingers (left thumb and pointer) had deformed nail beds and were scheduled for surgery. You see, there was a point in my life as a young girl when I had warts growing under the nail bed on those two fingers. And not only that, but I had previously had wart issues on my feet, ankle, and on my knee, as well. With my fingers, the pain was SO bad. It was like sharp shooting pains anytime I tried to play piano, touch anything or if they got bumped. The warts under my fingernails were deforming the nail beds too. I tried everything, burning, cutting, freezing, over the counter treatments, but nothing worked on these particular warts. This went on for months and just got worse and worse, never better. Even the word wart is so disgusting. And these ones were particularly ugly. Each had that ugly black wart root, they were scaly and literally looked like they were eating my finger tips away.

I finally relented and decided to see a surgeon who could help remove the warts. He warned me that he may need to remove the entire nail bed on each finger to fully dig these large warts and their roots out. It was going to be an immensely painful surgery because of all the nerve endings and the sensitivity of the fingertips. But I was willing to go through with it because of the immense pain the warts were causing me daily. I figured one agonizing surgery was better than months and months of agony I had been experiencing. So, I scheduled surgery.

I had been praying and asking God during those months leading up to that appointment for healing. And after scheduling the surgery I did continue to ask God for a healing... But I do not recall any one miraculous prayer or moment. Rather, over time, and about two weeks prior to the surgery date, I simply all of the sudden noticed that I had not had any pain for a little while. I looked down at my fingers and was absolutely astonished! The nail beds looked normal, there was NO SIGN of previous damage, there was no black wart root, no scars, no eaten away nail beds anymore... Just completely healed fingertips and nail beds! It was a complete miracle and happened without me even realizing it and I praised God for His grace and love and for this miraculous healing! The surgeon probably thought I had just chickened out❤️

And... IVE NEVER HAD ANOTHER WART ANYWHERE ON MY BODY SINCE!!

Day One

Sometimes answered prayers are like the sun, hidden amidst an overcast sky of unanswered prayers... They are there. But you have to look really really intentionally to find them. And sometimes you have to believe they are there, waiting to be uncovered, even when you haven't seen them for awhile!

That is the story with my first #supernaturalstory

I remember as a young teen one of the first and biggest unanswered prayers I had prayed in faith to God was for my Grandma to be healed of cancer. She wasn't healed. Our hearts were absolutely broken. But what made this unanswered prayer even more difficult to bear was the uncertainty of whether or not she had made a decision to believe in Christ as her personal savior or not.

God did answer our prayers though. See, the other prayer we had been praying along with her physical healing was one for her spiritual healing. At her funeral service her best friend came up to our family and shared some very powerful and Miraculous news with us. She told us that the week Grandma had passed she had been wanting to reach us to share her heart with us that she had made a decision to trust Jesus as her savior and believe in Him for eternal life.

God DOES answer prayer!

He gave her a spiritual healing which in turn, gives her and us the promise of physical healing for eternity with Him! What an answer to prayer!
